Monkey Business

by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2002

The pursuit after the best sex, marketed to us from the world of porn, leads a person to madness and losing himself in a never ending world of masturbation.

Is it pyrotechnics? A circus stunt? Or just a plain splash of semen? You decide

Dying Mythology

by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2002

The gods disappointed, the heroes were slaughtered, the angels were crushed and run over by the same humanity that created them when it lost faith in itself.

Now that the potsherds on which these legends were engraved have all been shattered, who will invent the next story?

This piece inspired by Monet's water lily pond

Booze & Do's

Booze & Do's

by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2013

What the hell was going on last night?

The music was amazing, the alcohol flowed, everyone was on top of everyone ...

Do you know that feeling you have, that somewhere in the world there is a better party in which you're not invited to?

So this party only exists in your mind.

Addictions

by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 1999

We are all addicted to something, or several things. Some of which are harmless, and some of which poison our consciousness, until we gradually lose ourselves in them.

The difficulty of society in accepting and containing this issue, together with our loss of control and dependence on the matter, leads us to hide in shame in the sewers.

This is one of the first works on which the distorted figures appear. The melancholy in this painting stems from the period of my military service.

The name of the piece was a nickname I used to use at the beginning of the mIRC chat era.

He loves her very much. For him she is not less that pure utter perfection.

He doesn't really know her, but in his fantasy - she is the one.

This work is dedicated and inspired by a woman named Ofra, who at the time was the object of my admiration.

Tornado Of Souls

by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 1997

The "dance of souls" as an allegory for the circle of life, in which each soul plays a role on a scale of expressions, from 'The Manipulator' (the storm generator), through those who flow, fly, get crazy - those who experience the full extend of life, to those who oppose and refuse to cooperate with this enchanted dance, And those who fortunately did not survive it.

The name of the piece is inspired by a song of the metal band 'Megadeth'

Which is the maiden, who was able to find her place in a world of cruelty and roughness, and has managed to bring her genuine might through her utterly tenderness.

Pendency

by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 1997

Dependence is a hungry monster which can never be satisfied. There is none aid in the world that can satisfy the feeling of emotional deprivation of a tormented soul.

This painting is the second painting in series, for the first appearance of the distorted figures, which mark the beginning of the formation of my painting style.

Mama Papa Kaki

Mama Papa Kaki

Who will clean up after the mess Dad did? Mom of course.

We all know that Dad must not be disturbed while he is reading his newspaper, and soon his favorite program is about to start.

At The Beach

At The Beach

by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2002

The scorching sun melts the walls of reason, makes the impossible possible, and brings the formal expression of the body and human passion for flesh to the heights of the absurd.

On the beach you can watch a variety of types: from the most eccentric, to the quiet and solitary who just want to read a book for their enjoyment, without anyone disturbing their peace.
