Mathematical Love
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 1999
A calculated person is able to conduct his life in such a manner that everything happens exactly as he planned, until the stage where love enters the picture and ruins the balance and peace.
The tendency to constrain love into formulas and rules, was born out of the need of man to try and regain some sense of control over his life. But we all know that love has its own rules, and when emotions run wild, it’s very difficult to remain rational and logical.

The Triumph of Mr. X
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 1999
And then one day she came into his life, and with the help of her love for him he was finally able to break loose from the curse, defeating the feeling of rejection that accompanied him throughout his life.
But did he really win? Or is it a momentary illusion, and the feeling of rejection will remain to control him like a puppet on strings for the rest of his life?
This drawing is the last in the series of the "Mr. X" figure, In which the X was embedded as an integral part of its face.

Curiosity
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 1997
What are those noises? She wondered and carefully pulled the curtain.. and let herself get carried away with the urge of curiosity that conquered her..
But who is actually peeking whom? I wouldn’t absolve the viewer of responsibility...

Phallus Worship
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2019
Patriarchal society pushed further and placed the male genital organ right at the center of our culture, raising it to the level of importance of holiness, and an object of worship & adoration. Everyone enlisted to work for it, and it seems like nothing else is more important but to satisfy its insatiable desires.

Choices
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2022
What are the consequences of actions? Who really suffers from our selfish decisions?
Am I obligated to cooperate, and stay in a place that is not accurate with who I am, that is contrary to my inner truth, and play along like everyone else? Or do I have in every moment the choice to get up and leave?

The Road to Freedom
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2022
What is this bright light? What? Am I actually in a cave? And there’s an exit from it? I’d rather not know about it..
And even if there was an exit,
I can't walk through it..
Well, maybe I should try anyway?
But I am very afraid!
I think I can do it.. I’m doing it!
I can touch the light..

Yin & Yang
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 1999
Our world is built entirely of opposites.. strength against weakness, cruelty against Innocence.. pure and free breathing, against the inhaling of poisoning & polluting darkness..
Living side by side, canceling each other out, one cannot exist without the other, and all of them together make our world complete, as one.

By Demons Be Driven
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2022
In order to rise the spiritual ranks, to develop, and to be free, you must first shed your "Old Self". It's not a simple process, which is often accompanied with huge suffering and a depressing sense of stuckness. But if you insist hard enough & don't give up, it’s completely possible.
Not coincidentally, this painting depicts exactly this process. This is a painting that I started years ago, and left it unfinished. And only recently, after tens of years later, I was finally able to return to it and finish it. But the process was really not easy, and required a lot of energy from me. It's a real closure, and an exciting encounter on the canvas, between my old self and the new one.
The name of the piece is borrowed from a song of the band ‘Pantera’.

The Unskinned Tribe
by Moshik Ben-Uzi | 2022
Devoted to honesty and truth, the people of this special tribe have been observed in the heart of the forest, dancing around the fire, and performing their most important and sacred ritual, in which they brutally strip off their skin, and remain naked, exposed, and simple in front of creation.
